The Balance Of Plant by Brise Chemicals is based on bipolar pressurized water generation based system. The Electrolyser can be operated at a pressure 10 – 32 barg. Each electrolyser is designed for extra capacity of desired final hydrogen flow. The Main equipment of balance of plant, in which, water is dissociated into hydrogen and oxygen through electrolysis, where H2 is generated at cathode and O2 is generated at anode.
“During starting H2 stream gets passed via. Bed coils of initial generating bed and then enters in to Deoxidizer bed. Post Deoxidizer bed, it goes in to the condenser, moisture trap to remove moisture from saturated H2 Stream and then enter in to the Dehydration catalysts bed, after dehydration 85% dry H2 stream goes in towards product side and remaining 15% will be utilized in closed loop as regeneration H2 flow which is getting mixed with inlet H2 stream.
Post Generating bed saturation, Bed goes in to the regeneration during which initially bed gets de-pressurized via. Blow down followed by Hot 15% Dry H2 stream and as mentioned above, stream gets mixed inlet H2 stream of another generating bed. After Depressurization bed get cooled with the help of cooling water stream to the room temperature. Once Bed Dry and cooled, it gets pressure equalized from the generating bed H2 stream and become ready for its new generating cycle and thereby cycle repeats for every generation and regeneration.”
